Quote of the Earth Day
"This is bulls-t." Reportedly said by Rep. Richard Pombo (R-CA) with regard to President Bush’s plan to spend $2 billion developing hydrogen-fueled cars. Think Progressive has useful comments on the quote and hydrogen-fueled cars. A CNN reporter overheard the remark directed at House Majority Whip Roy Blunt.
Before anyone gets too excited, remember that Pombo is a strong supporter of drilling for oil in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska.
The remark would have been even more accurate if it referred to the whole of Bush's environmental program. Remember the definition of Environmental Protection in my Short Lexicon of the Neo-con Language.
