This is Socrates (aka Soc).
He likes to eat Purina Cat Chow, Indoor Formula and nothing else. Shirley was making a tuna casserole this morning. There was a little tuna left in the bottom of the can so she put it down near his bowl. After Shirley carried him to it, he gave it a good smell, looked at her as if she were crazy, and ate a few bits of the near by Purina Cat Chow. Once I tried to reward some good behavior with "cat candy." After several frustrating attempts, I tossed the cat candy in Soc's food bowl with the Purina. The next morning the bowl was empty except for the cat candy.
This is the only cat we have ever had that was a finicky eater. I'm just happy he's finicky for the cheap stuff.
