New Lemurs

Get over to afarensis and see the too cute new genus and species of lemur, Microcebus lehilahytsara, from, you guest it, Madagascar.

He is not even a handful but those eyes, oh those eyes!

John Wilkins at Evolving Thoughts has more on Microcebus lehilahytsara and another newly found lemus species, Mirza zaza. He also points us to a newly discovered fossil lemur, Wadilemur elegans, from Egypt. Wadilemur elegans pushes lemur evolution back to 35 million years before the present.

Both Evolving Thoughts and afarensis have links to sources that are more detailed.
