The Fox in Charge of the Henhouse
According to CNN President Bush wants to get to the bottom of what went wrong in Katrina aid efforts.
What I intend to do is lead an investigation to find out what went right and what went wrong," Bush said. "We still live in an unsettled world. We want to make sure we can respond properly if there is a WMD (weapons of mass destruction) attack or another major storm.
While there is no doubt enough blame to go around, I suggest the President start his investigation in front of a mirror.
What the President is doing is an old marketing trick. "If you can't fix it, feature it."
And oh yeah, Mr. Bush is sending the Vice President to see what more can be done. I'm sure Mr. Cheney will have fresh insights, unencumbered by any previous knowledge of the events.
