What do the American People Expect of Their President?
Well, President Bush knows the answer to that one.
When asked how he would react to a close encounter with Chavez, Mr. Bush said he would be polite."That's what the American people expect their president to do, is to be a polite person," he said. "And if I run across him, I will do just that." CBS Evening News
Yes, there was a context. But can you imagine any context or question where this is the appropriate answer from any grownup much less the President of these United States.
