I Sure Hope This is Wrong
Spiegel (in German) is reporting that CIA chief Goss told Turkish authorities to be prepared for a US rocket attack on Iran. The report indicates that Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Oman and Pakistan have also been alerted. As the article says, it may be that the US is just testing Turkey's reaction to the idea.
It is also possible that the US floated the idea to put additional pressure on Iran in the current negotiations over its nuclear program. However, threats like this are hard to take back and the Iranians could just as well use such a threat to justify their need for nuclear weapons. Such threats can also translate into just another recruiting tool for the Islamic terrorists.
