The Sign of Our Anniversary

There are those who think 6/6/06 has some special meaning and I agree that it does but for quite a different reason. Today is the forty-second anniversary of our marriage. Shirley has put up with a lot over the years but today we will celebrate.

Unless the world ends, there will be no further posts today. If the world ends, I will have a lot to say.

My parents were also married on this date only they did it on the square, June 6th 1936. Too bad they didn't make it til their 70th.

06/06/06 Has come and gone here. Let me fill you in on the details as it appears you didn't get the email.

The rapture occurred and I now drive a lovely jaguar that the local preacher left behind. He did cause quite a stir when he floated off into the firmament without his clothes though. (Naked rapturing seems the fashion.)

Aparts from that, nothing exciting to report. :)

While at my cabin in the mountains near Big Bear Lake, California, I awoke in the early hours of 6/6/06 to relieve myself. To my horror, I found that the light did not come on with the light switch. I tried other lights, and found they didn't work either, nor did the radio. I felt my way to the toilet and took care of business. I looked outside and saw that the whole valley was dark. I checked my old analog electric clock and found that it had stopped at 12:00 AM on 6/6/06.

For a moment I got religious. Then I decided to go back to sleep. I awoke at 6 AM when all the lights came on, as well as the radio, which said something about an animal and a transformer.
