Akkadian? Charles Halton will Tell You What It Is

If you've ever wondered what I am talking about when I referred to Akkadian, Charles Halton at Awilum has the answer. He just started a series that explains what it is in very clear language. The portion of his explanation that applies to the bulk of what I do write about at Abnormal Interests can be found in these words,

Akkadian was the diplomatic language for most of the ancient Near East from around 2500 BCE to 1000 BCE. Cultures such as Egypt had scribes that could write and translate Akkadian correspondence during this time.
