The Cliopatria Awards
I want to thank Alun Salt of Archaeoastronomy for nominating my series "Friday Pot Blogging" for The Cliopatria Awards best series of posts category. As they say, it is an honor just to be nominated and that honor is all the more so when it comes from the person who, in my humble opinion, actually has the best series of posts in the area of history. I was very pleased to see that Alun's Vidi series has been nominated.
The Cliopatria Awards are given each year to recognize the best history writing in the blogosphere. Awards will be presented in six categories:
- Best Group Blog
- Best Individual Blog
- Best New Blog
- Best Post
- Best Series of Posts
- Best Writing
Good luck to all the nominees. According to the award's sponsors, the History News Network (HNN), "The winners will be announced at the American Historical Association Annual Meeting in early January 2007; winners will be listed on HNN and earn the right to display the Cliopatria Awards Logo on their blog."
