And to All a Good Night
To my Christian friends and readers - MERRY CHRISTMAS
To my Jewish friends and readers - HAPPY HANUKKAH
To my Pagan friends and readers - JOYOUS SOLSTICE
To those friends and readers who celebrate Kwanzaa - HABARI GANI
To those secularist who would prefer it - HAPPY HOLIDAYS
To everyone else - my very best wishes for joy, love and peace.
As for me, you may wish me a Merry Christmas if you will. And unless I know better, I will say the same to you. For while I am a secular humanist now, my particular brand of secularism and humanism has deep personal and historical roots in the Christian tradition. And for me, the best of the Christmas tradition is secular. Tomorrow our family will enjoy Christmas in a very traditional way. And we will share warm and loving thoughts for those members our family who are scattered around the world and for everyone who is close to us. And I extend those same thoughts to all of you and thank you for allowing me to share my abnormal interests.
Reposted with a couple of modifications from last year's Christmas post. With apologies to those who winter holiday has already past.
