That's One Side of Me

What kind of "intellect" am I?

Your Dominant Intelligence is Logical-Mathematical Intelligence
You are great at finding patterns and relationships between things. Always curious about how things work, you love to set up experiments. You need for the world to make sense - and are good at making sense of it. You have a head for numbers and math ... and you can solve almost any logic puzzle.

You would make a great scientist, engineer, computer programmer, researcher, accountant, or mathematician.

What Kind of Intelligence Do You Have?

Except for the word "great," there is more truth to this than many of my readers may think. (I'm not so sure about being an accountant.) The real problem is that the things I most enjoy intellectually tend to be things like ancient languages, history and philosophy. The good news is that mathematics is becoming increasingly important in these disciplines. The bad news is that except for philosophical logic, mathematics is not the dominant required skill. Regular readers will know that I discuss many issues in linguistics and history in terms of the probability that they are the case and dislike talk of proofs. While it pleases me that mathematicians and logicians have proofs, I'm quite content that the rest of us have probabilities.
