"They Kneeled. They Cried. They Asked for Healing."
And they did it in adoration of the miraculous image pictured to the left. A cafeteria worker discovered this image on a cookie sheet while washing it after a function at Pugh Elementary School in Houston. So many people came to pray over the image that it was relocated from the school to a private home. There are those who want to put up a permanent shrine to house the cookie sheet.
You say it doesn't look like much to you. Well perhaps I have the image upside down because when rotated 180 degrees I can even see a certain vague likeness of the Virgin Mary in the stains. Other, less sensitive, folk may think if looks more like something else. But the Principle of the school expressed the majority opinion, "It was a silhouette, a silhouette of the Virgin Mary." Take a look at the pictures and story in the Houston Chronicle. You will read the word "undeniable" several times in case you are not completely sure that it is an image of the Virgin Mary.
Here is still another case of how easy it is to see religious symbolism in random patterns. I also have a question for the theologians. Why did they ask for healing rather than offering praise or reacting in fear?

They prayed because there is still a supposition that the saints are capable of carrying one's prayers to God. Since saints are likely to get their prayers answered while you, the average slacker can't, then if you ask them nicely they might do it for you.
And I don't see anything but a blop.

it's definitely the virgin, no doubt about it.
