Getting Ready to Party and Think

Tomorrow is the Convocation on Job that I previously mentioned. While my own role is minimal, I will be spending some of today reviewing the material I've read to prepare for the Convocation. The more one prepares, the more one gets out of such an event even. Thinking and learning always works best when it is additive.

I will also be working with Shirley to get ready for a small party we are throwing for Loren Fisher and other participants in tomorrow's meeting. Among the guests will be two fellow graduate school students that I haven't seen in decades and a few of my teachers from those days.

If you are in Southern California and at all interested in one of the least understood and in many ways one of the most difficult books in the Hebrew Bible, you should plan to come to the Convocation on Job. There are details on the Center for Process Studies website. I hope to see you there.

My plan is to post, after the event (no live blogging for me), on what the participants said and what I learned. But there will likely be no post of any kind tomorrow. Of course, should the world end, I will have something to say about it.
