Integrity in the Face of Uncertainty

I learned of this draft statement today at a lecture at Cal Tech. For reasons we all now know, Eisenhower never needed to "post" it.

Eisenhower Draft Statement in Case of Failer

Our landings in the Cherbourg-Harve area have failed to gain a satisfactory foothold and the troops have been withdrawn I have withdrawn the troops. This particular operation My decision to attack at this time and place was based upon the best information available. and The troops, the air and the Navy did all that bravery and devotion to duty could do. If any blame or fault attaches to the attempt it is mine alone.

Does President Bush have such a draft statement with regard to Iraq? If so its beyond the time for him to make it public.
