O'Reilly Fears the Loss of White, Christian, Male Power

Crooks and Liars has a video clip of Bill O'Reilly interviewing, if that is what you call it, John McCain. At one point, O'Reilly made this amazing statement,

But do you understand what the New York Times wants, and the far-left want? They want to break down the white, Christian, male power structure, which you're a part, and so am I, and they want to bring in millions of foreign nationals to basically break down the structure that we have. In that regard, Pat Buchanan is right. So I say you've got to cap with a number.

It's hard to know where to start with a statement like this. A high percentage of our recent immigrate population is Christian and, I would guess, more than half are male. So the remaining meaningful content of O'Reilly's statement involves the risk of loss of while power. I see no way to read this that is not racist. And if there is some other way, it is sexist and anti-Catholic too.

I'd think any serious political figure with a modicum of integrity would want to distance themselves for such a statement. McCain didn't seem to disagree. And he never said anything remotely like, "That is a raciest statement and I don't want to be associated with it."

Oh yeah, and when did the New York Times and the far-left become the same voice?
