One of My Worshippers Sent Me an Ecard!
WARNING: The email I describe below is a delivery vehicle for a malicious worm. If you get an email like it, do not take any of the links and delete the email from you computer.
I just got an email that contained the following,
Good day.Your worshipper has sent you an ecard from dgreetings.com.
. . .
Your ecard will be available with us for the next 30 days. If you wish to keep the ecard longer, you may save it on your computer or take a print.. . .
I do hope both my regular readers have some positive level of respect for me, but worship seems over the edge.
Oh, perhaps, the sender thinks I am the pastor of her or his church. Well, is he or she ever in for a big surprise.
By the way, if for some reason one of you sent me this ecard, let me know in the comments to this post and I may check it out. However, the links to the "ecard" were a little scary. The IPs of those links was considerably different from the IP of Dgreetings and the email didn't originate from Dgreetings. Also, the expression "take a print" was a little unnerving. So, I decided not to go get whatever awaited me there. I do worry that if I go to one of those links I may be "taking sh.." rather than a print.
Update: Just as I finished this post, I received a nearly identical notice, with the same links, supposedly from BlueMountain, this time the supposed ecard was from a "friend" rather than a "worshipper."
Further update: I discovered that this email links to a worm and added the warning above.

Mine have all come from "a member of your family". Since I don't often open such silly e-cards even when the sender is named and known I haven't opened them ;-) But I am disturbed by the lack of friends, I don't expect to be worshipped even by my wife and children, but I do miss friends!

Lets see some miracles, Duane.

If I get my roof fixed without going completely crazy, would that be enough of a miracle?

No, that would merely be convenient. Though since it would break the fundamental law of the universe (the one traditionally ascribed to the Irish sage Murphy) it ought to qualify ;-)
