My 4th of July Wish List
What would it take to make me feel patriotic again?
- Ending the current aristocracy
- Returning to a government of laws and not men
- Telling the truth with regard to public matters
- Having people in government who believe in government
- Returning competence to government
- Restoring dignity to government
- Restoring Habeas Corpus for all
- Ending torture
- Restoring a belief in knowledge and skill
- Replacing the land of suspicion and home of fear with the land of the free and the home of the brave
In short, I desire the return to principles of government that once upon a time made me proud to be an American.
