Mycenaean Grave Found

During road construction workers found a Mycenaean grave near Agrinio in the Peloponnese.

Archaeologists said it appeared to be the grave of a local military official and was the first time a single grave had been found with such a combination of objects -- including a bronze and gold sword, and a bronze spear point, knife and pot. [Reuters]

Pottery associated with the grave dates to around 1,200 BCE.

The remains of a body, in the fetal position, were in the grave. Constructed of limestone slabs, the grave measured 1.48 by 0.78 meters.

While there is a picture accompanying the article, I wish there where pictures of the grave finds. Never satisfied!
