One Big Statue of Hadrian

I don't normally post on artifacts from this side of the Iron Age but I found this story abnormally interesting.

Head from colossus statue of Hadrian

That's Hadrian. Well, it's really Hadrian's head. Well, not really Hadrian's head but the head from a colossal statue of Hadrian. Archaeologists found it at Sagalassos, in south-central Turkey. The statue itself was 13 to 16 feet tall. If you are abnormally interested too, Archaeology has the complete story and several other pictures. Most of their other picture were taken after old Hadrian was given a bath. I got the above picture from the Archaeology website.
