The Sy Gitin Festschrift
I was glad to hear about the forthcoming festschrift for Sy Gitin. The list of contributors is impressive and several of the papers could well be important.
I worked as an area supervisor under Sy at Gezer. And while our contact over the years has been infrequent, I consider him a friend. Several years ago, Sy rescued the tag from the wheelbarrow my team and I used at Gezer in 1973.
I'm looking forward to getting Sy's festschrift at the SBL meeting in San Diego.
Yeah, I did use that wheelbarrow tag in an old post.
