Abnormal Interests - Best of the Lesser Blogs?
Someone nominated Abnormal Interests, this very blog, for a 2007 Weblog Award. Who? I do not know. For what reason? I have no idea. All I know is that this blog was nominated for the best of the top 6751 - 8750 blogs. This means blogs with a TTLB ranking between 6751 and 8750. The last time I checked Abnormal Interests' TTLB ranking was 8178, near the bottom. So, Abnormal Interests was nominated for the best blog among the next to least popular blogs. It reminds me a little of the "you have won second price in a beauty contest" card in Monopoly.
If you are interested in voting for Abnormal Interests you can do it at "Best of the Top 6751 - 8750 Blogs" on the 2007 Weblog Awards website. As they say, "Vote early and vote often." Checkout the other categories and vote in each of them also. I may give some reconditions for the more meaningful other categories later

The only blog among all those nominated blogs that I read regularly is yours, Duane. But I won't be voting for you, because I find such contests meaningless. Sorry.

I don't disagree with you that such things are meaningless. The category that Abnormal Interests is nominated for only contributes to that overall meaninglessness. But then I find many meaningless things fun. The fact that you visit my blog regularly is a far more meaningful vote as far as I am concerned. Thanks

You definitely deserve to be nominated. I think it would be nice if you were higher up the ladder but whatever, this blog is intelligent and at least some of us can see the hard work you put into it day after day. I'm happy for you that others are appreciating it too. Congratulations! And I voted for you. Perhaps these weblogawards need a special "Best Abnormal Blog" category though :)
(PS, I think that Slow Cooker Recipes blog is playing dirty and buying votes. How many people need slow cooker recipes THAT badly?? Hahaha. >:P)
