Socrates' Taste for Learning
This is Socrates, aka Soc.

Normally he's a good boy or so he thinks he is. He looks like he is behaving in this picture. But looks deceive. What he is doing is trying to figure out why I yelled at him. Well, take look at the corners of the papers that I circled in red. Not five seconds earlier Soc had been chewing on them. Shirley wonders if he is missing something in his diet. If so it must be Rollston's Scribal Education in Ancient Israel with Rainey's Whence Came the Israelites and Their Language on the side and the first part of Young's Israelite Literacy: Interpreting the Evidence for dessert. Those were the articles he was chowing down on and he had several others to choose from on the other side of the desk.

Maybe he is bored. Get him a friend or put out some more interesting reading material, something about snails, for example.
