Reducing Moral Turpitude and Making My Life Easier at the Same Time

I just received my very own copy of A New English Translation of the Septuagint. And so far I'm delighted.

Since I started my retraining program about three years ago, I'm quite happy in my progress with Ugaritic, Akkadian and Hebrew. A lot more work is of course required but that will always be the case. I'm also fairly happy with my progress in relearning French and German. The latter was never as strong as it should have been. But Greek still causes a lot of loud, obnoxious, involuntary swearing. And yet, one cannot completely avoid the Old Greek translations of the mostly Hebrew Bible. But at my skill level, finding my way through this complex collection of works is often pain in the tokhes. So this new translation of the Septuagint helps me find my way to the passage I want to examine (it's good to know what it says before you try to read it) and it also reduces swearing when I do find the passage (it's good to know what it says before you try to read it).
