Sectarian Science and Mecca Mean Time
Assuming you don't already have a headache and aren't afraid of getting one, check out this crazy stuff.
Philip Plait at Bad Astronomy, whence comes the video link, has a few things to say about this nonsense. Here is one of his observations.
The zero-magnetism stuff he says at about 2:00 minutes in is jaw-dropping. Compasses don’t work on the Equator? News to me! He doesn’t understand that the needle in a compass is also a magnet, and will always align itself with the magnetic field lines? He would fail 4th grade science.
You might also want to take a look at his post, "Mecca lecca no" where he discusses a "confused article" from the BBC on a call to use Mecca, rather than Greenwich, as the worldwide time reference because Mecca "is the true centre of the Earth."

Great jumping whatevers.
I just got home from a "debate" with some young earth creationist twits. It was a friendly audience, but the Power Points were not allowed at the last minute. Oh well.
This Muslim lunatic is fantastic. He makes Christian lunatics appear sane, which a difficult task.
Duane, you speak Hebrew, or am I confussed?

PS: I already had a headache, but now I feel better. It must be the magnetic fields thingy.

Ugh!
But why'd it have to be from Memri. I can't say enough bad things about those lying sacks. Not that this ain't real, but Memri might just as well be a hate factory. I guess there's just a lot of stupidity to spread around.

Duane,
I enjoyed the video, not because of what the man said was true, but because I have never heard so much nonsense in any presentation.
