To Jeane Murch
A dear friend died today. I have known Jeane Murch for decades. She was one of those people who brought life to every occasion. Her joy for life was contagious. For the last several months, Jeane fought an extremely debilitating disease. This morning she lost that fight.
Jeane was part of an extended group of ex-Rockwell International employees and friends that enjoy each other's company. Several of us have lunch together every Thursday. We call our group "Thursdays Hugs." Because Jeane and her loving husband Keith lived a considerable distance from the rest of us, they could not join us on Thursdays. But they were regularly subjects of our conversation and concern as we exchanged news of those who were not at our table. Hardly a week went by without one of us having contact with them. A couple of times a year we would all spend a weekend with the Murches. Jeane loved to entertain and we loved to be entertained by her. She also loved to laugh and we could spend hours together laughing with her. Now it is time to refocus our support from Jeane as she struggled with her disease to Keith as he struggles with this grief.
Jeane, we will miss you. I will miss you. Hugs!
