Our Earthquake Damage
As some may know, this morning we had an earthquake here in Southern California. The epicenter was about ten miles south of our house. I wasn't home at the time but Shirley was. She took the following picture of the total damage that we suffered.

The fact is, we were lucky. There were a few broken pipes and fallen ceilings and a couple of minor injures around but not in our neighborhood. But people in earthquake country should take this as a wake-up call and be prepared for one that can do major damage. Everyone should have a minimum of three days supply of food and water and be prepared to go without phone service and electricity for that long or longer. Our household is prepared to go at least 10 days without these amenities but I'm not sure either of us can make it that long without the internet.
