The Ultimate Teaser

Writing about a "show and tell" by Yossi Garfinkel and Saar Ganorthe, excavators of Khirbet Qeiyafa, here is part of what Aren Maeir reported on the ANE-2 list.

This absolutely fantastic, fortified Iron Age site (late Iron I/early Iron IIA) has a very nice assemblage of pottery, and what may be the most important Iron Age Semitic inscription found in Israel in the last decade! (to be published by Haggai Misgav of the Hebrew University)

I can't give details about it, but OH BOY - this is going to be VERY INTERESTING!!!! [caps in original, other emphasis added]

This is the kind of thing that keeps me awake at night. At least someone could have said when it will be published so I will know how long the torture will last.

Comments

I was busy today and merely skimmed through the ANE-2 digest, with all the discussion of Gaza I completely missed that part of Aren Maeir's post. Very exciting!
