A Carnival Is Coming
The Biblical Studies Carnival will arrive at Abnormal Interests in 10 days. Please suggest posts that you would like to see in Biblical Studies Carnival XXXV. There are three ways to do this.
- Submit your candidate posts via the Blog Carnival web form.
- Submit your candidate posts via email to biblical_studies_carnival AT hotmail DOT com.
- Email me directly using the link in the upper right hand corner of the front page of my blog. If you're not there now, just click "Main" and you'll find the link. While this may seem like the easiest way, it is not necessarily the best. If something abnormal was to happen to me or my server, it would be unlikely that a last minute replacement would have the benefit of your input.
Remember, candidate posts should be from October and should "represent an academic approach to the discipline of biblical studies rather than, for instance, a devotional approach." The Biblical Studies Carnival understands "academic approach" very broadly. In fact, "methodological variety is encouraged." Also, the carnival understands "biblical studies" very broadly to include Ancient Near Eastern literature and archaeology, Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, Christian Origins/New Testament, Intertestamental/Second Temple literature (e.g., LXX, Dead Sea Scrolls, Philo, Josephus, etc.), Patristics, Biblical Criticisms and Hermeneutics, and popular culture, among other things.
