The Unmentionable and the Unnamed
Or is it the other way around?
I just received a flier from The Institute for Antiquity and Christianity announcing two upcoming events. You can download the flier if you like.
The first is "What if Anything, Does Critical Biblical Scholarship have to Offer American Electoral Politics?" Four professors from the Claremont School of Theology will be speaking at this event: Richard Amesbury, Dennis MacDonald, Helene Slessarev-Jamir, and Marvin Sweeney. If I were speaking at this event, my remarks would be short and well focused.
The second event is "The Nag Hammadi Story in Fotos." An unnamed founding director of the Institute who is also Professor Emeritus at the Claremont Graduate School will be speaking. Couldn't they remember his name? I can. They were able to come up with a picture, but I'm not sure it's a recent one.
