It Must Be A Slow News Day
Why else would CNN run this story on a 2012 Apocalypse?
Dozens of titles about 2012 have been published and more are scheduled to go on sale in the coming months. Current offerings include "Apocalypse 2012," in which author Lawrence Joseph outlines "terrible possibilities," such as the potential for natural disaster. [Emphasis added]
Remember Duane's law. There is absolute no knowledge on the subject of a 2012 apocalypse so it is predictable by my law that there should be "dozens of titles" published.
Well, I guess the good news is that the story is somewhat debunking but still . . . And I shouldn't be too hard on CNN. It's obviously a slow blogging day too.
Based on another law set of observations, I'll bet CNN won't mention the subject after December 21, 2012 or should I say after December 23, 2012 or when every the great apocalypse of 2012 is suppose to happen. I also predict that on December 22 someone who now supports the December 21 date will admit his or her error and claim that the real date is December 23.

An excellent study of 2012 and the Mayan calendar by Mark Van Stone is online at:
http://www.famsi.org/research/vanstone/2012/index.html
The short version gives an idea of what the Mayans would have expected to happen in 2102 (not much). The long version in three parts I found fascinating and recommend to anyone with Abnormal interests.
