Journals and Abbreviations

I ran across a couple things that I didn't know about and, therefore, I naturally assume others don't know about either.

First, many of the papers and notes published in Nouvelles Assyriologiques Brèves et Utilitaires are available online, free, at the Achemenet website. Take the "Publications en ligne" link from their homepage. Then take the Nabu link and you're there.

Second, Danny Zacharias has a useful list of the SBL journal and series abbreviations in a convenient database at Deinde. Take the link on the left of any page. If you don't like his format, you can download the database and do as you will to it. Actually, I liked the format and downloaded the database anyway. I did notice that at least one item was missing, NABU, Nouvelles Assyriologiques Brèves et Utilitaires. It is listed in the SBL Manual of Style. Danny asked that we report any omissions, so I did.

Update: True to his word, Danny added NABU to the database.
