On Not Thinking About Gods
From Alun Salt at "The increasingly Inaccurately Named Archaeoastronomy Weblog."
Not only do I go days without thinking about gods, I also go for days not thinking about not thinking about gods. I do think about gods for hours each day sometimes, but that tends to go with the territory when one of the things you’re researching is ancient religion.

The ancients' gods are far more interesting, however, so if you are going to think about any gods at all, it might as well be them.

Jared,
I always find the gods of believers a lot more interesting than the gods of philosophers (and theologians). In an abnormal way, I even find them more creditable.
