Cat Summoned For Jury Duty In East Boston
Considering a few jurors with whom I have served, Sal the cat might have been more helpful. His owners tried to get him off on the basis that he can't speak English. Speaking English is apparently a requirement in Sal's jurisdiction. The jury commissioner denied the request. It appears that Sal must report for duty in March.
Check out the video. Sal looks like a smart cat to me, too bad he can't speak English. One of his owners says he knows right and wrong. That's more than I can say for some people I know.
Thanks to my dear friend Lois Berger for bring this to my attention.

This is why I no longer watch the news. I feel like my brain is falling out as I watch one senseless story after another. How is this news? Does "news" now mean "comedy show"? Maybe serious stuff requires too much attention span. Maybe my desire to be informed by the news is silly of me. I'll try to think less from now on, like the rest of the voting populus.
