A Little Out Of Control
In his latest “Skeptic” piece in Scientific American, Michael Shermer asks us to think of a time when we felt out of control and then says, “Now take a look at the top illustration on this page. What do you see?” Well, what do you see?

I see Michael Shermer in the top illustration on the page. I guess he wants us to look at that illustration on the right in which I don’t anything at all.

I see bats. This experience has affected me so profoundly that I think I shall become a bat. Criminals are a superstitious and cowardly lot, so my disguise must be able to strike terror into their hearts.
