The Earth With Rings Of Satellites
Boing Boing has two abnormally interesting posts one right after the other.
“What if the Earth had rings?”
(What happens when satellites collide?)
followed by
“13,000 satellites around the Earth”
(This one has a real time Google Earth presentation to amaze us)
Give them both a read. The amount of stuff we humans have put in space is truly astonishing, yet another one of our messes that our children may need to clean up.
PS: For those who might care, blogging will be even lighter than normal for the next few days. Shirley and I are going to a party. It won’t take us all that long to get over the party. At least, I hope it won’t. It’s just that the party will last a couple of days. As usual, I do plan to post should world end while we’re partying.
