A Well Aged Wine

I enjoy a small class of wine every evening. I normally drink the cheep stuff but once in a while, I’ll splurge on something whose vantage is indicated in years rather than days. But this is ridiculous.

Archaeologists have discovered a supposedly 2000 year old sealed pot of wine during salvage excavations at Puyang city, in China's Henan province. The People’s Daily report doesn’t say if it is red or white. I prefer red. But a nice white is good once in a while.

Old Wine

I’m not sure what aging in copper does to the bouquet of wine. It seems it may have taken a mass spectrometer to prove that it was really wine. I wonder what they did with it after tasting testing.
