Wondering The Tracks Exhibits
Aydin Örstan of Snail’s Tales has a long running series on boxcar graffiti. I think his last post featured contribution 74. I’ve seen a good deal of boxcar graffiti myself but nothing to compare with the artistic merit of most of Aydin’s posts. That said, until yesterday it never occurred to me the Aydin might have spent more time in a museum than wandering along the tracks.
Last night we met our son and daughter-in-law at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, the MOCA. There I found this hanging from the wall.

Now I could have taken a few dozen close-ups and turned this into a long running series but being far lazier than Aydin, I decided to post it all at once. What I can’t figure out is how Aydin is able to get all that realistic looking road bedding photoshopped into his museum pictures. ![]()
By the way, Alyan has a recent post on “the less than admirable state of science in the Islamic Middle Eastern countries” that I think abnormal readers will find interesting.
