Quartzite Head Of Nefertiti Recently Identified

Once thought to depict Akhenaten, Dr Christian E. Loeben of the Museum August Kestner argues, rather convincingly, that the small object actually depicts Queen Nefertiti. Judith Weingarten has the story and a larger picture at Zenobia: Empress of the East. Check it out. There is also a high resolution photo at Egyptology Forum. As Judith says, "There will surely be many updates."
