“Philosophers Hold Their Seats”

Mostly because our two kids are both professional philosophers, I have an abnormal interest in what happens to their lot. While there is much worry, speculation, and discussion regarding the recent election in Britain, one thing is clear. The philosophers in Parliament held their own. I copied the title of this post from Julian Baggini of Talking Philosophy who reports the details.
Three philosophers held their seats while another won for the first time. Ignoring issues of sample size, the political diversity of these four mirrors the more general election results: two are Conservative, one is Labor and one is Liberal Democrat. I suppose they have philosophical disagreements too.
