I wrote about this the other day. The current situation is confusing. I think our Pomona City Council voted to fund the library for about three additional months and pray for a miracle. But I’m not even sure of the first part of this surmise. The issue seems to be surrounded with serious miscommunication between the Pomona City staff and the staff of a nearby city in another county. It also seems likely that there is miscommunication between the City staff and the City Council. In any case, the Council appears to have funded $400K of the library’s already much reduced $1.3M budget. David Allen has tried to make sense of it in a piece in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin. If you have the stomach for confusion and wishfully thinking you might want to read it. All is not all right but, then, it is not the end.
